Kim R. Maerowitz is an experienced litigator. He handles state and federal court cases, arbitrations, and appeals involving a broad range of litigation matters. His clients have included banks and other commercial lenders, real estate developers, general contractors, and a broad range of businesses. Mr. Maerowitz also represents individual plaintiffs in securities and personal injury litigation. He has extensive experience working with insurance companies and issues on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Mr. Maerowitz is a native of Los Angeles, California. He received his B.S. in 1979 from the University of Southern California, where he received numerous national speech and debate awards. Mr. Maerowitz received his J.D. in 1982 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was an Editor of the California Law Review. Prior to founding his own firm in California, Mr. Maerowitz was previously a litigator at a large Los Angeles law firm.
Mr. Maerowitz is the father of four adult children, including fraternal triplets. During the time he was raising his family Mr. Maerowitz took several years off from practicing law and operated a manufacturing business. That experience has given him a better understanding of issues routinely faced by owners and managers of large and small businesses.
In addition to his family and legal practice, his passions include fitness, travel, and numerous outdoor activities.
